HOW 8-WEEK CLASS/ES WORK

We encourage prospective students to schedule a free visit to our studio. Please be sure to schedule an appointment in advance as we are not always in the studio, or may be in the middle of a class. We are happy to schedule an appointment with you to visit the studio + discuss your artistic / portfolio goals.

In order to join an 8-Week Class or Classes, students must Enroll at least one full day prior to their start date via the Enrollment page, either using the New Student Special option (valid once for new students only) or for the 8-Week Classes option. Students must also complete the online Enrollment form and electronically sign at the bottom. Please note that students may not pay for classes on the same day as their start date. We prefer online payment but accept cash payment at least one full day prior to a student's start date. We do not accept checks.

Upon Enrollment, students will be emailed a Materials List for their class/es. Students must have their supplies the first day of class.

An 8-Week Class runs for 8 consecutive weeks from the student's start date. If a student joins one 8-Week Class, they will meet at Korpus once per week for 3 hours during a pre-determined day + time slot (typically Saturday 10 am -1 pm, or Sunday 10 am - 1 pm or 2-5 pm). So one 8-Week Class gives a student 24 hour of class time. Students may opt to join more than one 8-Week Class concurrently - for example, many of our College Portfolio Prep take between two-three 8-hour classes on Saturdays + Sundays (an example schedule for three 3-hour classes weekly might be Saturday 10 am - 1 pm and Sunday 10 am - 1 pm and 2-5 pm). *Please note that our schedule is subject to change. Contact us prior to Enrollment to learn our latest class schedule.

Please be sure to read our Make Up Class + Refund Policy prior to Enrollment. Students are responsible for understanding our make up class policy and for scheduling make up classes (where available) within their 8-Week Session.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

*Please note that classes are limited to 10-12 students per class, and Special Guest Artist Workshops are limited to 25-30 students per Workshop. Please contact us prior to making payment to ensure space availability for the class/es or Special Guest Artist Workshop/s which you wish to attend.

You can now make payments to Korpus School of Art + Gallery in the following ways:

1) PAYPAL:

  • Class(es) Payment

    PLEASE NOTE: Payment for class/es must be received at least 1 day prior to the start of the class. Payment made the day of the first day of class or after requires an additional $25 late fee.

    Payment made with cash or check does not require a PayPal fee, and is therefore the less expensive method of payment. We greatly prefer to receive cash or check payment in person at least 1 day prior to the start of the class.

    Private Classes
    *Please note that we consider a private class to be a class outside of our regularly scheduled group classes. A private class may have between 1-4 people at a time but is typically 1-2 people. Private Classes are necessary for photographing and editing College Portfolio Preparation student artwork. Please contact us for available times.

    New Student Special

    If you have not previously taken a class with us, we offer a one-time New Student Special!

    • Take two or more 8-Week Classes, save $50 per 8-Week Class!

    *Please Note that we host multiple Special Guest Artist Workshops throughout the year which vary in cost. Please visit our NEWS + EVENTS page to confirm the price of the Special Guest Artist Workshop which you wish to attend or contact us with any questions. Because our Workshops are generally limited to 25-30 students maximum, please contact Korpus to ensure space availability prior to making payment.

Please Note: When payment is made with cash or check, the $10 fee applies once per 8-Week session, and covers an unlimited number of classes for which you enroll. When payment is made via PayPal, there is a $10 fee per each class for which you Enroll.

General Liability Release of Claims

I, , for and in consideration of the payment to Korpus School of Art + Gallery of , the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby release and forever discharge Korpus School of Art + Gallery, their agents, employees, successors and assigns, personal representatives, affiliates, successors and assigns, and any and all persons, firms or corporations liable or who might be claimed to be liable, whether or not herein named, none of whom admit any liability to the undersigned, but all expressly denying liability, from any and all claims, demands, damages, actions, causes of action or suits of any kind or nature whatsoever, which I now have or may hereafter have, arising out of or in any way relating to any and all injuries and damages of any and every kind, to both person and property, and also any and all injuries and damages that may develop in the future, as a result of or in any way relating to the following:

Classes Taught or Taken or any activity whatsoever at Korpus School of Art + Gallery

It is understood and agreed that this payment is made and received in full and complete settlement and satisfaction the causes of action, claims and demands mentioned herein; that this Release contains the entire agreement between the parties; and that the terms of this Agreement are contractual and not merely a recital. Furthermore, this Release shall be binding upon the undersigned, and his respective heirs, executors, administrators, personal representatives, successors and assigns. This Release shall be subject to and governed by the laws of the State of California.

This Release has been read and fully understood by the undersigned and has been explained to me.

TUITION, FEES + ENROLLMENT TERMS

TUITION:

Tuition for 8 week session classes is to be paid prior to the first class meeting with cash, money order, or check. Please see our Enrollment, Registration, and FAQ Forms for more information.

Tuition for our 8 week session Classes and Uninstructed Workshops is as follows:

*Please note that our class price has modestly increased. We wish to continue to offer you high quality art education at an affordable price. Similar programs charge significantly more than we do, even with our price increase.

*We now offer a Senior Citizen (65+) Discount of $25 off of the class price.

REFUNDS:

Please note that we do not offer refunds for classes due to withdrawal of a student for any reason. We do however generously offer students the option to make up missed class time in other classes offered in the same 8-Week session in which they are enrolled. We do not carry over missed make-ups into future 8-Week sessions. For classes where it is not possible to make up class time, we do not offer a refund for classes missed by the student.

REGISTRATION FEE:

A non-refundable registration fee of $10 applies to all students per 8 Week session for all 8 Week classes, payable in cash or check.

*Please Note: There is no Registration Fee for drop in attendees of our Drawing or Painting Uninstructed Workshops, or for our Special Topic Lectures + Workshops.

ENROLLMENT + REGISTRATION:

Your full tuition payment ensures your placement in the class. Please download our Enrollment, Registration, and FAQ PDFs for more information. Enrollment is open and ongoing for our classes. You may join a class after it has started with a late enrollment fee of $25.

BOUNCED CHECK FEE:

There is a $25 bounced check fee.

IDENTIFICATION:

Upon enrollment, KSA+G will photocopy the student's driver's license or other valid form of ID.

ENVIRONMENT:

KSA+G reserves the right to dismiss any individual whose behavior is considered detrimental to the positive environment which we wish to maintain. KSA+G also reserves the right to selectively admit students to its programs.

MAKE UP CLASS + REFUND POLICY

Please note that we do not offer refunds for classes due to withdrawal of a student for any reason. We do however generously offer students the option to make up missed class time in other classes offered in the same 8-Week session in which they are enrolled. We do not carry over missed make-ups into future 8-Week Sessions. Please note that an 8-Week Class runs consecutively from the start date of the class. In the instance where a student misses the 8th Week of an 8-Week Session, a make up class is only possible if the student re-Enrolls for a New 8-Week Session. For classes where it is not possible to make up class time, we do not offer a refund for classes missed by the student. For this reason, we ask that you carefully plan your 8-Week Session/s at Korpus. It is your responsibility to keep track of your 8-Week Session + to make up your missed classes on or before the last date of your 8-Week Session. We highly recommend immediately making up missed classes so as not to lose class time.
